My birthday was last weekend! My older sister Lauren came into town to surprise me for my birthday!! :) It was a great weekend! She came in at 11pm and then the next day Sunday she came to church with me it was her first time at church and first time in a skirt. She then made me birthday dinner on Sunday. It was delicious! On Monday I had to work a few hours then came back and took her downtown to temple square and to the gateway it was fun. Later that night we got about 18 people together for my official birthday dinner we went to the pizza factory, lots of fun!! And then on Tuesday Isaac's parents took me to Red Lobster we went with Justin and Angelique it was so good!! Overall great birthday!

Urban Dictionary

So this morning Isaac shared with me what my name ment at Urbandictionary.com and I thought it was hillarious!! I had to post this for my own reference!

1. A name for a boy or a girl of a Vietnamese background.
2. Asian girl, kinda short, crazy awesome hair, though obsessed with dying it or bleaching it.
will always find something new to go crazy over e.g. DS
Linhs are dominantly girly, though they're appearance maybe deceive their actually personality, such that they might look like a japanese boy.
Linhs are sensitive and caring people, and when in love, will love truly.
***also, they all have weird angry stares that will somehow either creep you out or make you change your mind completely

The funny part is that my hair has been colored with varies of color so that was funny. I hope I dont look like a japenese boy. I do have different kinds of "stares" ha ha I get it from my mom.

Isaacs Name Defintion:

1. That kid in the Bible whos dad decided to kill him because he thought God told him to.
2. v. the act of being great. and/or perfect
3.an extreme homie, the biggest homie on the block

Isaacs was pretty awesome too! His favorite one is #3, Isaac agrees that he is too much of a homie! :)

Keeping Busy!

Where has the time gone?!? Isaac and I have been keeping ourselves busy. He just got done taking a couple mid-terms, presentations and work. I got promoted at my job and I've working everyday with one day off or so. Last week I got the swine flu, I went to work for about three days when I started feeling sick then one morning I had to be in at 8am and thats when it started going downhill, I told my boss that I have to go home early and I didnt have anyone to cover my hours that day so I had to wait.... finally when it was 1 o'clock and I could leave I had Roman (Isaacs friend) come pick me up because I couldnt drive. Then I just felt hot and freezing cold that I went to BYU urgent care, the doctor and nurse made me wear a face mask around the clinic (kinda embarassing) but I left the hospital having 102 degree temperature and they said I couldnt do anything or go anywhere for a week. Isaac and Justin gave me a priesthood blessing it was amazing and then four days later I felt so much better. Its been great getting together with Isaacs family and seeing the new babies. They are so cute!! I cant wait to babysit! (Just let me know guys, i would love to)
I cant believe halloween is already approaching!! Yesterday, we got together with the McArthurs, Roman and Lauren to carve pumpkins. This would be like my fourth pumpkin and Isaacs second pumpkin carving. Last year Isaac didnt want to do a design and carved an "Earl" and then this year (since he is a computer nerd) he decided to carve an "Earl 2.0"! :P I cant wait I have my birthday coming up next week, then Mike comes home and then Thanksgiving...I am still amazed how time just flies by!!

Two Years

The last month has been exciting. I started my new job at BYU and it has been really great I'm learning alot! And Linh got a promotion! But the most exciting thing that has happened this month is Linh and I's two year anniversery! That's right... I've now known linh for 2 years and 3 months...

So in our 2 years together Linh and I have done some of the following things :

- Lived in 4 states.
- 6 different apartments
- I've gained 15 pounds (but I still look fantastic)
- gone through 7 cell phones
- driven around 50,000 miles together (difference in odometer reading on impala and mercedes
- taken many many trips to denver
- 1 roomate (shoutout to chris)
- declared Linh the Queen of Board games
- I've forced Linh to watch 100's of nerdy videos against her will
- 1 concert
- 1 dice app (this is for you justin)
- 2 widgets (just trying to be funny)
- I've cooked 0 meals
- no pets
- 0 babies
- many late nights
- made many good friends
- found inner peace through meditation (ha ha, im allowed asian jokes)
- visited the Denver, washington D.C., timpanogas, salt lake city, provo, nashville, and atlanta temples

To add to our diverse group of experiences we went to the "Melting Pot" on our anniversery night. We drove there and I took this picture while driving.. you can't even tell.

We had both never been and we thought it was really awesome. Basically there is a pot on the table that holds the "dip" and then there are different courses for different dips.

First was the basic cheese dip served with chips, bread, vegies and apples. Then a salad, they had a house salad salt which was good.

Then there was the main course which consisted of a bunch of raw meats: lobster, chicken, steak, sirloin, sausage, shrimp, crab ravioli. We put the meat into the pot and the broth cooks it! I thought this was really awesome.

The last was a classic pure chocolate dip with fruits and treats to dip in it.

The experience is not just dinner, its an adventure. We were litterally there for 2 and 1/2 hours and we were munching on something the entire time! I had like 6 cups of apple lemonade throughout the experience. I'm sure my waiter was surprised everytime he saw my empty glass.

Lastly we walked the temple grounds hand in hand! I dedicate this post to my beutiful wife Linh, I love her so much, and I'm glad I could share this night with her.

Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig

So, usually every 365 days, I have a birthday. As it so happens, this year was not out of the ordinary; August 20th I turned 24. This year I travelled on my birthday. I was in Knoxville and we packed all our stuff into the car all morning long and then started the long drive back to Utah. As one would expect from someone so great as my wife... She didn't let me go all day without some sort of celebration, we went to Red Lobster and I got to eat whatever I wanted.

We rolled up into Provo a few days later, and started moving into cambridge court. Luckily I have some great friends around here that helped me get the stuff up into the house... (Shoutout to Roman and Chris). We are now all cozy up in here.. but It sure is packed compared to our apartment at the Huntington that we had last year. Our couch BARELY fit into the living room... you can pretty much run into our house and jump into the living room and plan on landing on something soft because it fills up most the space; On the upside, our TV looks bigger.

My sweetheart Linh decided that my Red Lobster birthday celebration wasn't enough and she made me a cake! I had to add a picture of this because it is truly awesome. I think she spent somewhere around 4 hours putting the frosting on this baby!

A few days later.. School started... Woohooo! So anyways, most my classes this year are business classes and I'm no longer surrounded by other information systems students. Today was the first day of class and it ended up being pretty cool. We played a game for an entire hour of the class... then we spent the next hour talking about the game. So the game was basically that every person in the class was a part of the supply chain. I was a distributor, and my job was to buy from manufacturer, and sell to customer. Each player was given a certain amount of chips and its hard to explain but basically the teacher just said go and we haggled etc for the rest of the class. I turned 100 "dollars" into 1491 "dollars" and ended up getting first out of the distributors, and the teacher gave me a prize (a big snickers bar). Then I had to tell the class my strategies. I was totally stoked.

Update: Isaac just got a call from this job he really wanted, he had to do a second interview but he got it!! And got a raise based on his experience! sweet deal!! :)

Road Trip: Independence, Missouri

While Ike and I were heading home to Utah we drove through Missouri and we were talking about church and about its history he was telling me the story about the saints and the extermination order and etc in Missouri... so we were heading into Independence anyway and decided to stop and check out the visitor center along with Liberty Jail. Overall, it was a great experience I love to learn about historical facts especially when it comes to learning more about the church.

(isaac saw this diner along the road and wanted to eat here one night and ever since he was in love! He is sad there is no Steak and Shake in the west.)
